Hi! I’m Praveena Padakala, the artist behind Heartful Henna. My love for henna began in childhood, watching intricate designs come to life and feeling captivated by the beauty and the tradition. Today, that early fascination has grown into a cherished part of who I am. Alongside my creative work, I’m a full‑time IT professional, a wife, and a mom to two wonderful boys. Family is at the heart of everything I do, and the joy and balance they bring inspire my artistry every day.
My experience
With over six years of professional henna experience, I’ve had the joy of creating henna for weddings, festivals, bridal showers, birthdays, and special celebrations across New England (serving Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, and Maine). Since beginning my professional journey in 2020, I’ve designed everything from simple, delicate pieces to intricate, detailed bridal work. Each client I meet brings a new story, a new style, and a new spark of inspiration. I love taking the time to understand their personality and the moment they’re celebrating, then translating that into designs that feel meaningful, personal, and uniquely theirs.

Heartful Henna was created with the hope of sharing warmth, tradition, and artistry in a way that feels personal and meaningful. My vision is to create designs that not only beautify the skin but also honor culture, connection, and joy. Beyond body art, I love bringing henna’s elegance into everyday spaces through hand‑painted décor and gifts, offering new ways to experience this timeless art form. My goal is simple: to make every person I work with feel seen, celebrated, and connected - one design, one story, and one smile at a time.
